Ballroom Marfa Announces New Associate Curator

Ballroom Marfa's board of directors announced today that Laura Copelin will be joining the nonprofit as associate curator.

Copelin was previously at the Santa Monica Museum of Art in Los Angeles for four years and organized a number of projects outside of the museum, including for Machine Project and the Los Angeles Seminary for Embodied and Civic Arts. In addition, she operated an artist microresidency in Venice Beach and was a contributor to the art and music journal Arthur.

Copelin holds a BA in English and art from UCLA. Ballroom Marfa is a nonprofit contemporary culture and arts space that engages with visual arts, film, music, and performance.
